Business Challenge
Each year, Turner Classic Movies hosts the Young Film Composers Contest. This contest presents a unique opportunity for young composers between the ages of 18 and 35 to bring their musical vision to film with a chance to work with renowned composer, Elmer Bernstein. As a technology support provider, Vertex Internet was challenged with the task of creating a web based framework and storage infrastructure to fulfill the goals of the contest.

Using Microsoft .NET technology and storage solution from Veritas & Dell, Vertex Internet built a reliable, secure application that Turner Classic Movies can depend on when selecting a contest winner.

The application allows contest entrants to view and select a film clip from the Turner Classic Movies’ Young Film Composers Competition website. When the composer has finished their score, they are directed to the hosted application at Vertex Internet. They select their clip, enter personal information and upload their score in MP3 format.

Impact
