Agile & empowered

The business is divided into five operational units, enabling us to embrace a range of complex, large-scale contracts, from specialist installations to the rapid mobilisation of a site-wide facilities management strategy. Within each unit, there is a director and usually about four contract managers. Our flat company structure empowers contract managers to make on-the-spot decisions without disrupting service delivery.

I have been in the M&E industry for over 10 years, and six of these have been at Vertex – for which I could not be more grateful. I have always found that my team and colleagues are consistently catered for and looked after, while we always have the tools available to provide an excellent level of service to our clients. Beyond achieving operational targets, Steve plays a vital role in supporting the Client Management and Site Teams, providing escalation support and guiding set-up, mobilisation and continuous improvement strategies throughout each contract. Sean has fostered an environment that keeps financial health and strategic growth in constant focus. His responsibilities extend beyond traditional financial oversight: he leads both the Finance and HR departments, making sure they effectively support our contract teams and clients. And he supervises the prompt payment of our supply chain partners, preventing any disruption in services.

Rebecca orchestrates the smooth transition of new contracts into operational phase, managing the mobilisation process with meticulous attention to detail. With over eight years of experience at Vertex, she sets up our site operations for success right from the start.

Rebecca has to coordinate a wide array of expertise, including site teams, business unit leads, sales, HR and finance departments, to align resources, set expectations and establish the necessary groundwork. Her approach guarantees that contracts not only start on the right footing but are also equipped with the tools needed to deliver – and exceed – client expectations post-mobilisation.

Ann oversees compliance with ISO 45001, ISO 900 and ISO 14001, diligently managing our Integrated Management System and refining SHEQ policies to align with best practices.
